Frequently Asked Questions

The first step is simple — get in touch to let me know you’re interested in exploring therapy. We’ll schedule a brief phone consultation (about 15 minutes) so we can discuss what you’re hoping to work on, my approach, and whether we feel like a good fit. You get to decide if and when you’d like to schedule your initial intake session.
All new clients start with an Initial Intake session. This is a 60-75 minute session when we’ll explore what you’re dealing with, get to know each other, and determine your treatment recommendations: whether the therapy I provide can support your therapy goals, and if so, what regular sessions moving forward will look like.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. This call is simply a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if we’re the right match.

Yes. At this time, all sessions are offered virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for clients located in New Jersey or North Carolina at the time of the session.
Telehealth allows us to meet wherever you feel most at ease, whether that’s from home, your office, or a quiet corner between classes. Many of my clients appreciate how seamlessly virtual therapy fits into their lives while still creating a space that feels personal, connected, and private. All you need is a stable internet connection and a confidential space where you can speak freely.
I don’t currently offer in-person sessions, though I anticipate adding that option in the future.

I offer morning, afternoon, and evenings appointments to provide flexibility for busy schedules.
Regular therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.
My current availability includes:
Mondays and Wednesdays: Individual therapy sessions (45–60 minutes) in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Fridays: Intake assessment sessions (60–75 minutes) in the morning or afternoon to allow extra time for initial evaluation and treatment planning.
If you’d like to know about current openings, please reach out.

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. Clients pay for sessions at the time of their appointment, and I provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Many clients with out-of-network benefits receive partial reimbursement — typically between 50-80% of the session fee — though exact amounts vary by plan. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before starting therapy.

That depends on your goals and what you hope to gain from therapy.
Some clients come for a few months to focus on a specific issue or life transition. Others engage in therapy longer-term to work through deeper patterns that take more time to unwind.
Your therapy is uniquely yours. From the start, we’ll clarify what you want from the process and revisit your goals as we go. My role is to guide, support, and collaborate with you so therapy feels meaningful and responsive to your evolving needs.

At this time, I work exclusively with adults ages 18 and older. My practice focuses on supporting young adults and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and life transitions.

Because therapy is regulated by state licensing laws, I can only provide services to clients who are physically located in New Jersey or North Carolina at the time of session. I anticipate being licensed in additional states in 2026.
If we’re working together before your move, we’ll create a transition plan to ensure you have continued support, whether that means referrals to a new therapist near campus or periodic check-in sessions when you’re back home in NJ or NC during breaks.
I’m always happy to collaborate with other providers to make your care seamless and minimize disruption.

In compliance with the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), all healthcare providers are required to inform clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing” from out-of-network providers.
You will receive a Good Faith Estimate before your first appointment outlining the expected cost of your care.
